Install on Android TV & Chromecast
Android-based TVs and Chromecast devices are a great, low-cost way to run Split-Flap TV. How you install depends on whether your device has the Google Play Store.
There are three common cases. Smart TVs and streaming devices that run Google TV or Android TV OS (many Sony, Philips and TCL sets, and Chromecast with Google TV) install straight from the Google Play Store. Plain Android TVs without the Play Store side-load the app as an APK, similar to Fire TV. And any ordinary TV can be turned smart by plugging in a Chromecast.
Step by step
-
01
Check your device
If your TV or stick has the Google Play Store (Google TV / Android TV), use it. If not, you'll side-load the APK instead.
-
02
Install from Play Store
Open the Google Play Store, search for Split-Flap TV, and install it.

Or side-load the APK
On a plain Android TV without Play Store, install the free Downloader app, allow unknown-app installs, and open the Split-Flap TV app link from your account to install the APK.

04
Sign in or pair
Open the app and sign in, or enter the pairing code into your control panel.

- ·A Chromecast with Google TV is an inexpensive way to add Split-Flap TV to an older television.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the app in the Play Store
Your TV may be a plain Android TV without full Play Store access. Use the APK / Downloader method instead, the same as the Fire TV guide.
