Adding pictures & media (Picture-Flap)

Beyond text, Split-Flap TV can flip images into place, logos, artwork or photos, with the Picture-Flap board type.

Text-Flap boards show characters; Picture-Flap boards show images. You can upload a JPG or PNG and let it flip into place across the board, and add overlay text on top for a designed look, handy for a logo, a hero image, or a branded welcome.

Step by step

Create a Picture-Flap board

Start a new board and choose the Picture-Flap type.

Upload your image

Upload a JPG or PNG. It's split across the flaps and revealed with the flip animation.

Add overlay text (optional)

Layer text over the image to combine a picture with a message.

Assign and save

Assign the board to a screen and save.

§ Good to know

·High-contrast images read best once split into flaps, simple logos and bold graphics work better than busy photos.
·Mix Picture-Flap and Text-Flap boards in a loop for a display that alternates artwork and messages.
