Installing an app and getting real data on your screen is straightforward. Here’s exactly how it’s done — using the Menu Board app as an example.

Board manager
Open the App Marketplace in your board manager
Head to my.splitflaptv.com and log in. In the left-hand navigation, click App Marketplace.
This is your hub for all installed apps and new ones you can add. You’ll see everything available to your Cockpit plan here.

What this app does
Lets you manage menu items, prices, and availability from a simple form. Your team updates the data — the board updates automatically.

Install app
Click Install and create your first instance
Find the app you want and click Install App. Each install creates an instance — a separate copy of the app with its own data.
You can create as many instances as you need. One for coffees, one for beers, one for cocktails — each gets its own board.

Name your instance
Give it a clear name so your team knows what it controls
Each instance needs a unique name. Be specific — “Coffee Menu — Main Bar” is more useful than “Menu 1” when you have multiple boards running.
Once named, the instance gets its own shareable URL. This is the link you’ll hand to your staff for data entry.
Tip Use location + content in the name, e.g. “Ground Floor — Beer List”. Makes delegation much easier.

Add items
Fill in your items, prices, and descriptions
Add as many items as fit your screen layout. For each item set a name, optional description, and price.
Toggle items as hidden or sold out without deleting them. Perfect for seasonal items or things that run out mid-service.
Tip Add all items first, then hide the ones you don’t need today. Much faster than deleting and re-adding.

Manage & delegate
Share the URL — let your team handle the rest
Copy the instance’s data-entry URL and share it with whoever manages that board — a barista, a receptionist, a floor manager.
They get a dead-simple form. They update the data. The board refreshes automatically. They never touch your screen layout or global settings.
No training needed. No risk of breaking anything. No IT ticket required.
