We are excited to announce the release of the latest version of the Split-Flap TV app! This new update brings even more features to enhance your experience with our innovative vintage communication technology.
New features
With this new version, we start rolling out new features. First, to the app itself, and afterward will we roll out more changes and features to the web application.
What can you expect from this new version of the Split-Flap TV app, in the first phase:
- Next to Android, we add support for iOS devices
- Smoother animation
- Better performance, especially when you have a larger number of rows and columns on your board
With the second phase, when we enable the new version of the web application, you will find:
- Option to choose between 3 clicking sounds
- Set the color of the background of your board, and set a color for both parts of the Split-Flap module itself
- List the characters on your board. If you only have characters and numbers, and maybe no special other signs or characters, then you can lower the number of characters on the animation by just including A-Z and 0-9.
How to get the new version?
- When you have installed the Split-Flap TV app via the Google Play store, the update will come in automatically if you have automatic updates enabled. Otherwise, you can check for updates and install it.
- When you have the native APK package installed, you can upgrade the app manually by getting and upgrading the new version here.
What do you have to change?
When the new version becomes active, the device ID of your television might change. In that case, you go to your devices list and update the device ID. That is all you have to do. The display will continue to display the information in the new app.
